    Abstract

Access to housing is a determining factor in healthy communities. In this context, has the construction of the Alcan industrial megacomplex in Alma brought about changes to the residential park and the health of its occupants? To answer this question, we used three indicators to observe the evolution of rental accommodations in Alma's residential park during the construction of the aluminum refinery: vacancy rate, rental costs and the number of multifamily dwellings established. With the changes identified, we suggest ways to improve the efficiency of the follow-up process.
