    Abstract
Challenges associated with urban sprawl and pressures of growth continue to mount across North America. Fuelling these challenges are outmoded land development standards that over-engineer and over-design community infrastructure, including roads, parking, parks and systems for stormwater and wastewater. The resulting systems are costly to build and maintain.
