The Brother XII affair
Abstract
Audio recording and transcript of Victor Birch Harrison's 1968 presentation to the Nanaimo Historical Society in which he talks about Brother XII and the Aquarian Foundation. Mr. Harrison gives background information about Brother XII, whose real name was Edward Arthur Wilson, his group of followers, and the Cedar-by-the-Sea and De Courcy Group spiritual colonies that were established during the late 1920s. He also gives details about the break-up of the Foundation and the subsequent court case, in which he represented the disenchanted members whom sought to recover their losses.
